SLOW (HAND) MOTIONS

December 21, 2011

SInce what post …

I must have been completely busy doing nothing. I had a few wonderful deadlines to meet recently and promised myself that I would rest immediately after. This is my current truth. I have not shared any images of my work online and wanted the Holidays would be my time to digitally shine. I was going to go public more or less when I had down time. But as I am not doing much but working, I got plenty of time. Really I just wanted to publish a little something relevant before the holidays.

As you all may or may not know, the next step in food makings is to create a series of recipe murals around SE London. There is much to share for those whom may not know the particulars of the project so to keep it all in brief, please click this link to read more and experience how we need to hear from you, to learn of your favorite British recipes. Recipe Card.

That being said, as recently as December 6th I had a wonderful show with Peckham Space at Persepolis ( in Peckham ) for the show curated by Adam Walker titled, Through the Peckham Glass. I was lucky to be working with the amazing, caring and sharing personality, author and shop keeper Sally Butcher. Her latest publication is Veggiestan, which –  in some certain non meat eating circles, as a gift, could be a panty-peeler. Under the hard covers are divine tongue captivating testaments to forgoing meat seasoned with unbounded wit. We have made a small pact and will be doing more work together soon. Murals! Veggistan blog process images. Here are some more wonderful process images and a story by dear friend and Gourmandizing Mural partner Jason Page.

Please have a read here for Sally’s Veggiestan & seasonal Cous Cous recipe drawn out on her store front window.

Through the Peckham Glass

A dispersed exhibition of new commissions inspired by their unique display spaces: the shop windows of Peckham.
Five artists create new work in response to unique Peckham venues and the themes of Lewis Carroll’s Through The Looking Glass.

We are busy puting forth our newest component of Gourmandizing. It is the very start of our mural project.
Please take a peak at us in work mode down at Persepolis with shopkeeper, chef and food author Sally Butcher. We are drawing a few of her new favorite dishes from her most recent book, Veggiestan.
